Chapel Hill is a college town.
Chapel Hills is a college town; it’s the location where you can find the University of North Carolina. This university is one of the oldest public universities in the USA, located just 30 miles from Raleigh and Duke University and a little distance from Durham. I like that Chapel Hill is regarded for its excellent education system and access to higher learning. Since these are near each other, many businesses start and prefer to create a hub in the triangle region since the workforce is extremely skilled and highly educated. Many of the population in Chapel Hill are college students, visitors, and residents in the city’s restaurants, bars, and local shops.

Missing middle: proposal could bring more affordable houses.
The
news said that Chapel Hill may soon see more missing middle housing or places
to live in the middle for those who can't afford a house but want more than an
apartment. The Town Council is looking into changes that may bring more options
to Chapel Hill. According to Tas Lagoo, a senior planner in Chapel hill,
studies show the dire need for more housing. The town's projection suggests
around 450 to 500 new homes that may be needed for the next 10 to 20 years. The
proposed changes allow duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, and cottages on smaller
lots. Read more.
